I hate the word DIET. The word DIET seems like such a temporary word. EATING CLEAN seems like a life long plan.
The eating plan we came up with consisted of 5-6 small meals a day, eating every 3-4 hours! (Eating every 3-4 hours is important.) Each meal had a Protein, Carb, with 2 of those meals a extra vegetable.
Meal 1- 7:00 a.m Breakfast Burrito 2 egg white with whatever veggies you want and a dash of low fat cheese on a wheat tortilla or wheat bread
Meal 2- 10:30 a.m. low fat string cheese and an apple
Meal 3- 1:30 p.m. Tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat bread with a cucumber.
Meal 4- 4:30 p.m. Protein Shake (I had to learn to love these. I really love them now)
Meal 5- 7:30 p.m Marinated lemon pepper chicken, brown rice, and grean beens
Meal 6- If you wake up earlier than what I do you can stick another protein shake in there somewhere
I notice if I make a plan for the week and have all of the things I need in my fridge for that week its easier for me to stick with my eating plan. I do have to say eating clean is a constant battle for me. I still have bad days and sometimes bad weeks.
